South Lido Key.......Sarasota,Fl.

Back yard critters......guardians of my garden

While I was gone...My attempt at tropical gardening

Carribean Court Boutique Hotel.....Vero Beach,Fl.

This has to be one of my favorite hotels to stay at. Hidden away in tropical landscaping it is a small quaint retreat away from the typical run of the mill tourist destination. The rooms are individually decorated with antiques and touches of the Caribbean. On site is a restaurant, Maison Martinique and a piano bar Havana Nights that provide excellent meals. Across the road is the beach and within a 5-10 minute drive are plenty of other quality restaurants. There is included a continental breakfast and Starbucks coffee in the morning. The staff was friendly and helpful. A perfect romantic get away for couples. Highly recommended.    located at 1601 South Ocean Drive Vero Beach,Fl. 32963  772-231-7211

McKee Botanical Garden......Vero Beach, Florida

Originally called McKee Jungle Gardens and set on 80 acres it was the idea of Arthur G. McKee and Waldo Sexton. Opened in 1932 with the guidance of landscape architect William Lyman Phillips. Water lilies are the theme surrounded by native and exotic plants from around the world. In 1940 Sexton built the Hall of Giants to house the largest single plank mahogany table, measuring 35 feet long by 5 feet by 4inches. In 1976 the gardens closed to be rescued and reopened in 2001, cut down to 18 acres. For those who love tropical vegetation and photography you'll be in heaven here.Located at 350 U.S. 1, Vero Beach, FL 32962
